Are you building a personal brand on social media?
One big mistake I made for many years was that I only used social media to run ads and promote my business, but I never mentioned my life and personal story, and I never wanted to build a personal brand.
I was timid and introverted since I was young, and I am not comfortable with social media.
If you go to my profile, you will notice I rarely update it
When I was 10, my teacher asked me to share a story for 10 minutes; I was scared to death. I eventually stood on the platform quietly for 10 minutes -It was embarrassing.
Even though I overcame much of my shyness as I grow up, social media is still something I don’t feel comfortable using, and I did not use them.
A few years ago, I started my digital marketing agency; I struggled to get a client, even though it’s easy for me to sell a $97 product online. I cannot sell my service.
I was frustrated, but I was not ready to quit; I decide to study those who crushed it online, I became a student of a few 8-figures entrepreneurs, and I reverse engineer their marketing method.
I noticed they have one thing in common – they all have a solid personal brand, and they all share about themselves on social media.
I decided to model what they did and include social media marketing in my business.
So I started sharing my story on social media. I even buy ads to promote my post; after few months, I closed my first high-ticket clients.
The power of social media is not only in its reach but also in its ability to connect.
For someone to buy from you, they need to know you, like you and trust you.
And social media make it an excellent place for someone to get to know you.
So if you are as shy as me, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, it may not be easy, but it will be well worth it.
