“There is no secret.”
If you are like me, someone likes to dive into all kinds of knowledge.
You may also buy many courses and books.
As a “marketing nerd” myself, I own a mini library of marketing books and courses.
And many courses promise to reveal their “marketing secret.”
Yet, after spending a few hundred thousand on all the “secrets.”
I figure out there are very few new things I can learn from “gurus.”
Most of the content there are just general principles rather than practical advice.
Even worst, some of them are just some cliche repackaged differently.
Don’t get me wrong; I still think learning is meaningful and crucial.
And I read more than ever nowadays.
But nothing can replace experience, especially failure.
And real learning only comes from implementations.
There are so many critical details that you can’t learn from books and classes.
And you can only learn from failure.
That’s why I like the quote, “A master has failed more times than a beginner has tried.”
So take action, embrace failure and learn from it.
And if you were to hire a coach or an agency, hire someone who is street smart, not just book smart.
